"Y’all. If you've got a voice, you're a singer. Whoever told you that singing is just for people with perfect pitch or fancy training was wrong."

Why are YOU here?

I’m betting it’s because you want to know what to expect when you open your mouth to sing AND you want to work on your voice...

  • in a studio of other adults experiencing EXACTLY THE SAME SHIT

  • with a coach who gets you (and won’t ask you to sing classical music)

  • and rock out at karaoke or with your band without the need of liquid courage? (No judgment here. We gotta do what we gotta do!)

“It's extremely rare to find a teacher who really knows their shit, and has a thoughtful, well-designed curriculum, and also has the emotional intelligence and energy to make students feel safe and cared for on a scary new adventure. [Liz is] the trifecta and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise!” - Calico Seders

Well, this Salty Voice Teacher has some good news for you:

EVERYONE CAN SING

AND THEY SHOULD

Lastly...

I LIVE on a BOAT.

An actual boat in a marina.

Yeah, I’m pretty much just salty all around.

Hey, y’all. I’m Dr. Liz Frazer, aka The Salty Voice Teacher, and I am here to tell you that EVERYONE can, in fact, sing.

And WHY am I The Salty Voice Teacher, you ask?

Great Question!!!

Because I’m OVER the idea that only “naturally talented” folks (whatever that even means) can or should sing, and I have STRONG OPINIONS on why this is bullshit.

And I’m OVER well-meaning instructors with one-size-fits-all solutions for diverse voices. Spoiler alert: this is also bullshit.

Did I mention I like to swear?

Some may even say that I curse like a sailor.

Why go SALTY, you ask?

While I’m a Salty Bitch (and only I can call myself that fyi), here’s what you can expect when you work with me:

  • Unwavering support from a seasoned voice pro (if I do say so myself), cheering you on every step of the way.

  • The freedom to explore the sounds YOU love, not what you've been told you should love. (Oof, those "shoulds" are the worst, amIright?)

  • Plenty of laughter because, hey, if we're laughing, we're learning. And expect a healthy dose of silliness—that's just how I roll.

With over two decades of teaching and coaching experience, I’ve learned some shit:

Learning accelerates and our confidence grows more quickly when we collaborate in group settings.

That’s precisely why I developed the Feet First Vocal Program. It’s tailored for beginners and those rekindling their passion for singing, with additional levels for continuing students. Check out our Vocal Coaching page to discover how it works!

“As an adult with no singing experience, Liz made me feel excited about exploring my voice and learning the building blocks of singing. And she's just a fun human! I loved the combo of group classes and private lessons in her Feet First program, it was great to meet other adult singers and learn from them throughout the semester. Liz's experience really shines through when working with her — she is an EXPERT at what she does. She truly believes ‘anyone can sing’ and does amazing things to prove that!” - Caleb Scwhartz
