"Liz is such a FUN teacher and I have already learned so much in my first semester working with her...highly recommend!"
Lisa Boyken
Feet First Vocal Student
Designed to unfold over one or two semesters, this course features 75-minute online small-group classes, complemented by one-on-one voice lessons (available both in-person and online), along with some karaoke/open mic meetups sprinkled in for good measure.
And when we say small-group, we mean cozy gatherings of 3-5 singers - because camaraderie breeds confidence!
And don't worry, we've got semesters 3 and 4 in the works for 2025 so we can keep the party going!
In the Feet First Vocal Program, we’ll...
-
...laugh. Like, a lot.
-
...sing every class: no need to worry - you won’t be performing for each other until you’re ready. I mean, I’m not a monster.
-
...demystify the mechanics of the voice, because understanding why our voices behave the way they do reduces shame and those nagging thoughts like “WHY AM I TERRIBLE AT EVERYTHING?” (Just me? My shame monster can be a real dick.)
-
...hone our listening skills and dissect what singers are really doing, not just what we think they’re doing.
-
...tackle the dreaded “not practicing enough” shame. Let’s face it, sustainable habits don’t thrive on shame. #nothankyou
-
...discover how to integrate singing into our lives because it brings us joy, not because we feel obligated to. (Oh lort. Don’t even get me started on the “shoulds.”)
And did I mention...? FUN!
Ok, class, repeat after me:
I CAN sing even if my voice isn’t perfect...
F the folx who told me I couldn’t or shouldn’t sing...
I don’t have to be a “natural talent."
"Liz is a fantastic voice instructor! She makes her lessons so much fun and filled with so much practical advice. She showed me so many things not only about the sound of my voice, but how to add texture and emotion and expand my abilities beyond anything I thought I could do. My songwriting improved just from understanding how to put more feeling into my singing. I highly recommend her lessons regardless of your ability or goals." - Ed D’Alessandro
